HOwDY

This website is essentially the entire accumulation of projects I have either created or been a part of, bear with me as it is a ton and probably too thorough—as is my specialty it seems.

On a more intense note, the work I am focusing on currently relies on the idea of rural feminity; a term rarely coined within any type of academic literature, yet can be so easily deduced due to our general contact with various types of media that portray such characteristics. Due to the vast amount of literature regarding rural life throughout the globe, I tend to stick to America from the beginning of colonization to the modern day. The connection between the ancestral rural roots slowly seems to be dissipating as time moves on, in my search, it can be seen that the industrialization of the farm was the beginning of the downfall of the traditional rural life and its ideologies due to the loss of agricultural jobs and other societal events such as war or the Great Depression. In a broad sense, I am interested in seeing how life on the farm and its associated characteristics such as gender roles, sexuality, religion, and overall sociological function within the distant communities that once used to function together more as a large family rather than just some neighbors.

Although that is my current focus right now, I get distracted pretty easily, some other topics I am interested in are time-period specific patterns and embellishments, clowns in every shape and form, and some good ole-fashioned western design. I would like to think I am a pretty active responder so if you have any questions really about anything I would be happy to chat it up with you!

Thank you for looking! :)
